The U.S. State Department has released Global Guidelines for Countering Antisemitism, a non-binding framework designed to help governments, international bodies, and civil society combat rising antisemitism worldwide. Launched in Buenos Aires and endorsed by numerous countries and organizations, the guidelines offer a comprehensive approach, urging action on multiple fronts. These include public condemnation of antisemitism, strategic planning and implementation, clear definitions of antisemitism, protection of Jewish communities, data collection, law enforcement, public education, fostering societal commitment, addressing online hate, and bolstering international cooperation. The guidelines aim to provide practical tools and best practices adaptable to various contexts, ultimately promoting tolerance and safeguarding Jewish life.
