Blast From The Past: What Price Are the US and China Willing to Pay To Stop the Climate Change Tidal Wave?

The critical time for the international community to cooperate on climate change mitigation and adaptation was 2009, fifteen years ago. This draft paper discusses China's and the US’s crucial roles, giving the public more context for how the world’s population arrived at the nadir in which we find ourselves.

This is a rescued copy of the paper of the same name, published initially with a copy edit in 2009 on our previous website. Our site went down due to an emergency evacuation from Bolivia to Miami, and the published version was lost. Nevertheless, because of the extreme importance of China-US Climate Change Cooperation both for general interest and for historical context, the public can take a detailed look, particularly into China’s dwarfing role as the climate change giant and the US. There are so many technical errors related primarily to emissions labels. The paper has a table of contents.
