Adam R. Zemans
Founder and Chief Executive Officer
In 2023, Adam R. Zemans relaunched Environment Las Americas/Bolivia, the U.S. 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit organization he founded in 2004 in Bolivia, South America, as "ELA Nonprofit Consulting.” Adam ‘s focuses ELA on unprecedented global risks, impacts, and opportunities, particularly optimizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) and climate change mitigation. Additionally, he mentors future public service leaders and public service organizations facing barriers to market entry. His central current research centers on Computer Assisted Data Analysis Software (CAQDAS) AI and other advanced technologies’ impacts on Conflict Resolution research and publishing.
Adam is a 2023-2024 Co-Leader of the Blue Hill-Hancock County Chapter of Citizens' Climate Education/Citizens’ Climate Lobby and a 2023-2024 Select Committee-appointed member of the town of Blue Hill’s Climate Resilience Committee. He served as Executive Director of Lake Stewards of Maine, a state-wide lake monitoring organization contracted by the Maine Department of Environmental Protection, and The Institute for Multi-Track Diplomacy, formerly located in Rosslyn, Virginia. Adam holds a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center; an MSW with an organizational behavior focus and miltary social work subconcentration, from the University of Southern California; an MS in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University; and an MA in Sociology from York University in Toronto, Canada. He graduated from Oberlin College, where he was selected as a Harry S. Truman Scholar (NY). He is a PhD Candidate in Conflict Resolution Studies at NSU. Adam lives and works in Blue Hill, Maine and Cochabamba, Bolivia.
